This MCC from 2016 is 100% Chardonnay and for the first time includes fruit from Melissa’s home WO of Bot River as well as from the original vineyard 20km north, near the town of Villiersdorp.
As with all her Brut wines, the 2016 spent 3 years on lees – this gives the wine a lovely rich and creamy texture to balance out the pristinely fresh Chardonnay fruit. This vintage has an opulence and a delicious immediacy to it; you want to keep drinking it.
