Beaujolais Mixed Case Vintage 2022

A wine full of freshness and fruit.
From the granitic arena of the “Reverdon” locality opposite Mont Brouilly.

The vineyard that this wine comes from yields elegant fruit aromas and a granitic purity. It is carefully hand-harvested to ensure the highest grape quality, and receives a gentle vinification process: whole bunch fermentation in the hillside cellars, utilising gravity flow, and a short, 8-day maceration, preserve the fruit's freshness. The wine is aged for seven months in cement vats, the resulting wine displays a beautiful cherry red hue, a floral and fruity bouquet, a round palate with fresh garden fruit flavors, and supple tannins.

The wine presents a fresh, fruity bouquet of cherries and strawberries, a juicy, mineral palate, and a spicy black fruit finish.

"The 2022 Côte de Brouilly Les Griottes de Brulhié has a wonderful bouquet, beautifully defined with blackcurrant, raspberry and pressed rose petal scents. It just blossoms in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannins and a sweet core of red fruit laced with black pepper and allspice. Domaine de la Grosse Pierre is located on the granite slopes of the Chiroubles cru, the highest in Beaujolais. The 'La Grosse Pierre' cuvée is often produced from older vines on the eponymous parcel. Winemaking typically involves manual harvesting, whole bunch fermentation, and aging in concrete tanks with minimal sulfur intervention, reflecting a move towards natural winemaking practices under the current generation.

This wine presents aromatic characteristics of red fruit and delicate floral hints. The palate offers a light body and a juicy texture, accompanied by noticeable acidity and refined tannins, with a clean finish.

Made by Paulien Passot, this Chiroubles from 100% Gamay grapes grown on organically farmed vines, this vintage offers a delightful expression of the terroir.

The 'Aux Craz' is a single-vineyard Gamay from Beaujolais' Chiroubles appellation, specifically the higher-altitude, south-facing 'Aux Craz' parcel known for its rocky soils and resulting mineral character.

The palate is well balanced with good grip and fine tension, a more structured Chiroubles with a pleasing marine element surfacing toward the sapid finish. Excellent."
